Plaza Singapura Food - The Best Food in Singapore

I'm not exactly sure what I expected when I went to Plaza Singapura Food. It was supposed to be a run-of-the-mill city slicker, and the local Thai people who populate this area certainly didn't help my preconceived notions. The first time I came here, around Christmas time, I was quite disoriented by all the neon lights and chrome everywhere, and even more, confused by the huge number of stalls selling everything from knickknacks to go-and Pratunam chicken rice. My assumption that this was a posh-style city in Thailand simply didn't prepare me for the complete lack of class it showed. The food here is cheap and fast, and you can't really call it "food", more like soups and sandwiches. At $5 a person, you get your money's worth with these places.

You might not have thought so at first, but this whole image credit scenario is very common in Plaza Singapura food places. If you walk around outside, there are always two or three workers cooking in front of you, and the aroma is delicious. Of course, they're not in uniform; most of them look a little corrupt from the street, but that's to be expected. One by one, their wares disappear into the pantry, and you're left with a simple slab of meat on a plate.

One of the things I love about Plaza is the fresh vegetables. If you walk through the market on a Saturday, you'll find lots of brightly colored vegetables on every table. In addition, these vegetables are both fresh and delicious, and they're usually accompanied by steamed white rice and go-and Pratunam chicken rice. This combination of fresh vegetables, steamed white rice, and go-and Pratunam chicken rice is truly something special. It's not every day that you can find the combination of flavors that are here.

The food at Plaza is very inexpensive, and the prices have been greatly reduced because the workers here are employed by the franchisee owners. That means they can afford to give you very good quality food for a very competitive price. What I love about the food place is that you can get just about anything you want here: you can get fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, noodles, and even Chinese drinks and many more.

Another thing I like about Plaza Sunnapura is that they give their customers a lot of choices. Unlike other restaurants, where what you order depends entirely on what you're hungry for, here you get to try several different dishes. And the fact that it's local makes everything taste even better. There are so many wonderful dishes here that you won't even realize you've been having a local meal. Of course, one of the things I love about this place is that it's open all the time, and you can go in at any time, day or night - even on Sunday.

My personal favorite food here is the Chicken Laksa, which is served with Sun-Dried Tomatoes, cubed beef, peas and rice, and coconut cream. It's served with a sauce of steamed broccoli and peanuts and is definitely worth the relatively small cost. Another place worth checking out is the Braised Pork Ribs, which are my favorite tasting pork ribs. And if you're looking for the best Philippines-style Chinese Food, look no further than Plaza Singapura. After all, I've lived here for almost 10 years now, and haven't found a restaurant that beats it yet.
